No hands Manicure!

Shelby Williams: A No Hands Manicure!

Problem: Since I am a college student and can't always afford to go to the salon and get my nails done, and being that I am not a professional. I made up a new device that can paint your nails for you in less than ten minutes flat! This is a quick an easy solution to be able to paint your nails and look like you just stepped out of the salon!

Solution: I want to come up with a device that you can have at your house and bring it out and be able to have it paint your nails in under ten minutes with a base coat then whatever color the consumer likes then top coat.

Developmental Journal: I came up with this idea because I always love to have my nails done but since I never have the money or time to pay 20 dollars for someone to do it or whenever I end up doing them myself they come out a mess and never look good, I wanted something that was quick and easy affordable and I can do it right from my house!

New Product Strategy: I am trying to make it easier for everyone to have a fresh painted look on their nails all the time and not have to worry about getting paint all over their hands and other surfaces of their house. Anything in the beauty industry is always changing so I am sure they will be able to make improvements as the time goes on.

Idea Generation: This product is geared towards any women or girls who love to get their nails done and not have to waste time doing it. I haven't really heard a lot about this product but I know that the main competitors would be all local salons.

Idea screening: I think that this product would get through screening really easily. I would ask all my friends co- workers and moms and young girls and college students in the area.I can make a Facebook survey and ask what you would want with the product.

Business analysis: I think once this product takes off there is going to be a huge demand for this everywhere. This would be a huge market with women all over the United States. Our focus would be on just selling the product and listening to feed back and then making improvements as we keep getting bigger and well known.

Development: This product would not be that much to start up on once we get it down. I found a machine only in japan that costs two dollars a nail! and it is industrial sized it wouldn't be able to fit under your bathroom sink. It also takes five minutes to do each nail so that is way to long for something at home. So I would just improve the product. I also found other "nail painting machines" but they just stamp designs on your nails not actually paint them one by one.

Test marketing: I would test this by just showing it to my friends and coworkers and family. I would also test this by letting people sample it in front of local beauty salons if they would allow me to or in a local place like a mall or even hair salon. I also would try to bring it to Empire Beauty School and show the students and ask for their feed back and opinions.

Commercialization: once we start making a profit I will start advertising in magazines, news papers, start getting stores to buy my products, tv commercials, and radio.
